Hilton Hotels Corporation reported today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior vice president of corporate development. Benefiting his significant hospitality industry experience in both the corporate and consulting environments, he will likely be working company-wide on cool product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, among others. Mirza will be based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports directly to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Prior to joining Hilton, Mirza had been a senior executive within the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was in charge of brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career in the beginning Financial, Inc. and opened the initial U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes a long period of project management knowledge about Deloitte/Braxton Associates within the areas of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.
Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he worked with hotelmanagement.net inside the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries in the parts of customer strategy, cool product development and service innovation.
